We meet every Wednesday and Friday morning at Houghton Racecourse Community Access Point between
9.30-11.30am.
We got together after doing a course on Computing for the Terrified; funded by ACL. We enjoyed the course so much we decided to continue to meet up after it finished to help each other learn about computers.
We been running since 2006 and love sharing ideas on how to use word or publisher. We are currently doing a CLAIT course which should hopefully help us continue our little club.
Anyone is welcome to pop along, and although we aren't experts we are friendly.

We are a voluntary

development is about building active and sustainable communities
based on social justice and mutual respect. It is about changing
power structures to remove the barriers that prevent people from
participating in the issues that affect their lives. Community workers
support individuals, groups, and organizations in this process on
basis of the following values and commitments:-
Values, Social
Justice, Participation, Equality, Learning, Co-operation
Commitments, Challenging, Developing, Encouraging, Ensuring,
Influencing, Prioritising, Promoting.
I have been appointed as a voluntary and community sector rep to the Sunderland Children’s Trust Board. I attended my first meeting on the 19th July 2005. Marian McGuinness |
